A comparison of Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro AI models, highlighting their differences in speed, cost, quality, and consistency for image generation. The author shares their experience using both for daily work versus high-quality single image needs.
I ran the same prompt through both and put the results side by side. Nano Banana 2 is much faster, and it costs less to run. It also keeps characters and objects looking the same across several images, which helps a lot when I'm making a batch. The quality is close to Pro for most prompts. Where it slips is fine texture and very busy scenes. Nano Banana Pro gives the best quality of the two. The detail, lighting and texture look richer, and it handles complicated prompts better. But it's slower and costs more per image, which adds up if you generate a lot. For everyday work I stick with Nano Banana 2. When I need one image to look as good as possible, I switch to Pro. The first image is Nano Banana 2 and the second is Pro. Which one do you prefer?
